Italy lacked a great center forward since 2006. Just look at the forwards you once had, Inzaghi, Del Piero, Luca Toni, Iaquinta. Those players are all deadly and would scare any world class opposition.
By 2010, the Center forwards weren’t great at all. Quagliarella, Di Natale, Boriello, Matri. They are good but they aren’t world class.
Till this day Italian forwards have not been world class and that needs to change
