The enigmatic Stade Bauer played host to LBFL’s second matchday of Season 2. The ground, which was founded in 1909, is the spiritual home of Red Star Paris, the capital’s oldest club, which was founded by Jules Rimet in 1893.
Due to problems with homologation, local councils and the French Football League, Red Star FC are not allowed to play at Bauer since their promotion to Ligue 2 last season.
In this video, LBFL shine a light on the much-loved ground while Steve Marlet (ex-France international, Directeur Sportif de Red Star Paris) and David Bellion (ex-Manchester United, now Red Star Paris) share their thoughts, emotions and memories of the hallowed stadium.
