BID ACCEPTED – SIGNING: £56million bid already made – Striker’s stance on Manchester United move

£56million bid already made – Striker’s stance on Manchester United move

Manchester United should not heavily rely on veteran, Cristiano Ronaldo, for goals next season and Ten Hag must improve the strike force this summer.

The Red Devils have been interested in hiring the services of FC Porto striker, Evanilson. Ten days back, JN reported that Man Utd tabled a bid worth £56million for the forward.

However, the move was turned down by the Portuguese side and the Old Trafford outfit were preparing for another offer worth £60million.

Such a bid has not formalized as yet and lately, Marcos Paulo, who has played with Evanilson at Fluminense, has revealed the striker’s stance on Manchester United move.

O Jogo (press image provided below) asked the Atletico Madrid winger about United’s move for the 22-year-old star and he stated:

“As long as he is at FC Porto, he will always be one hundred percent focused. At Fluminense he had already gone through similar situations and was younger, but he was already able to keep his focus. Rumors are not going to change his mindset”

Evanilson was a key member of the Dragons’ squad that won the domestic double last season and found the net 21 times in all competitions.

Paulo believes that the South American center forward can improve and reach the 30-goal mark in the next campaign.

It is actually baffling that retired Robin van Persie is still the last man to score more than 20 goals in a Premier League season for the Red Devils (2012-13).

Man United need a quality young goal scorer, who would be able to serve the club in the long-run. Ronaldo will turn 38 next year and we have to look at the future. In your view, should Ten Hag raise the bid to sign Evanilson?
