he really was the perfect striker for a side that had suarez coutinho and gerrard playing the ball to him, lethal when he got the chances and brilliant at finding himself in the right place at the right time

If he lacked injuries he'd of been one of th e best of his generation
these were the days for me. Countnho, sturridge, gerrard, henderson playing in a more attacking position. skrtel and agger at the back. We didn't always win but it was exciting attacking football. There's something about the way we play now that puts me to sleep at times.
Good to see him winning the CL with liverpool before he goes.
