Italian football wasn’t dead. It was struggling. There’s a difference. What an insane remark. American owners have not revived Italian clubs. They’ve come and gone, some more successful than others. Same with Chinese owners. And why is he speaking like Italian clubs don’t have Italian owners. Juve, Napoli, Lazio for example. It’s also not the fault of Serie A that UEFA doesn’t punish top English Clubs for foul financial practice. So sure, Italy will struggle as long as they keep getting punished (Inter, Roma) for FFP while PL teams operate like mob organizations and don’t get touched.
