Thomas Tuchel makes Kylian Mbappe transfer decision as Marina Granovskaia is sent £144m warning

Marina Granovskaia has pulled Chelsea out of the race to sign Kylian Mbappe on a free transfer this summer following Thomas Tuchel’s concerns with the 22-year-old, according to Catalan outlet El Nacional.

The report claims that the Blues are no longer willing to submit a ‘great offer’ for the Paris Saint Germain forward after Tuchel communicated his doubts as to whether or not his former player would cooperate with his tactics.

Mbappe, who arrived at the Les Parc des Princes from AS Monaco in 2017 in a deal worth an eventual £130 million, featured 98 times under the Chelsea boss in the France capital, scoring 46 goals while also winning Ligue 1 twice.

Tuchel worked closely with the Frenchman for two and a half years but stressed the difficulty in coaching Mbappe and Neymar in accordance with his philosophies as a modern coach who operates a meticulously organised pressing system.

Speaking in December 2020, Tuchel sent an early warning to Chelsea about a potential deal for Mbappe as the german explained how he and Neymar’s lack of cooperation on the training field has proved an uphill battle.
