Chelsea are considering a swoop for Paris Saint-Germain defender Presnel Kimpembe, according to the latest reports in France.
The 25-year-old star has now established himself as a starter at the heart of the Parisians’ defence alongside Marquinhos.
But the arrival of living legend Sergio Ramos on a free transfer from Real Madrid poses a threat to Presnel’s playing time for the upcoming season.
According to L’Equipe, the Blues are monitoring his situation as they already hold a long-standing interest in the France star.
The report states that Kimpembe is not pushing to quit the club and is prepared to wait to see how his senior team opportunities are impacted following Sergio’s arrival.
Chelsea would also need to sell a couple of players first before pushing ahead with a summer move for Kimpembe.
Presnel, meanwhile, already has experience of playing under Thomas Tuchel during their time together at PSG.
